Heirloom Back to Heirloom

Tools and guides

Free, no sign-up, useful whether or not you ever use our software. Built for families who inherited a place together and now have to work out how to share it.

Coming next

In the order we are building them.

  • A cabin co-ownership agreement template. Plain language, annotated, free to take to your attorney.
  • State guides. Michigan, Minnesota and Wisconsin first: partition law, LLC versus trust, and the property tax uncapping trap.
  • When one sibling wants out. What actually happens, in what order, and what it costs.

If you are an attorney or advisor

These are free to link to or hand to a client, with no attribution required and nothing to sign up for. If you draft cabin trusts, family LLCs or co-ownership agreements and would find a co-brandable version of the agreement template useful, we would rather build what you would actually use than guess.

The gap we keep hearing about is not the drafting. It is that a family signs a good agreement and then has no practical way to operate it, so within three years they are back to a group text and a spreadsheet.

Every place has a keeper.

One person chases the plumber, keeps the calendar in their head, and works out what everyone owes. Heirloom is how they stop carrying it alone.
